Our History

Launching in 2010

SeehoSu has established a firm reputation for curating authentic, high quality designer furniture, lighting and objects that are exquisite in their craftsmanship yet, at their very core, remain simple, practical and most importantly, comfortable.

Within SeehoSu’s boutique portfolio of brands is Japanese design house, Maruni Wood Industry, Canadian design studio, molo design, Swedish brands, Garsnas and iconic Danish Brands, PP Mobler and TAKT. Common among all brands is an appreciation for true craftsmanship and tradition, balanced by an awareness of contemporary culture and innovative design. It is these qualities that confirms them as being the contemporarists of today, and the classics of tomorrow.

At SeehoSu, the environment is of utmost importance. All of our furniture is sourced from FSC timbers and sustainable materials such as low VOC glues and natural paints and vegetable tanned leather.

All SeehoSu’s furniture and lighting pieces are extremely versatile and suitable for all situations including residential, workplace, hospitality and more. Their modern, classic and warm aesthetic makes them a popular choice for a wide range of aesthetics and interior genres.

Joyce Seeho

Founder and co-director

Having operated in Australia’s commercial design sector for over two decades, Joyce is well versed in the business of design. Her extensive relationships within the global design sector has seen her work on some of Australia’s largest commercial projects for clients including major international public companies and top 100s. In 2009, Joyce founded SeehoSu, building a diverse portfolio of international brands and authentic designer products that reflect her personal passion for craftsmanship and design, and her intrepid spirit for international culture. Named after Joyce’s grandfather, See Ho Soo, she co-directs SeehoSu with daughter, Sara Bordina.

Sara Bordina

Co-director

The face and voice of SeehoSu day-to-day, Sara combines a background in marketing and public relations with a love for beautiful, original design. Growing SeehoSu from ground up, Sara has a deep knowledge of SeehoSu’s collection of products and brands, travelling the world to discover, source and continuously refine SeehoSu’s diverse portfolio. Sara’s natural affinity for project management sees her deliver on projects large and small, working closely with her customers and clientele to deliver world class design into Australia’s leading commercial fit-outs and home spaces.
